Does Canva Do SVG Files?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 10:13 pm

Yes, Canva does support SVG files. You can upload them into the editor and use them in your designs.

However, you will not be able to edit them in the editor as they are not one of the native file types supported. If you need to edit your SVG file, you will need to do so in another program and then upload it into Canva.

SVG files are vector graphics, which means they can be scaled to any size without losing quality. This makes them ideal for use in designs that need to be printed at different sizes or on different devices.

PRO TIP: Canva does not currently support SVG files. If you upload an SVG file to Canva, it will be automatically converted to a PNG file.

You can upload SVG files into Canva by going to the Files section of the editor and clicking the Upload button. Then, select your file from your computer and click Open.

Once your file has been uploaded, you can drag it into place in your design. You can also change the color of your SVG file by clicking on it and then selecting a color from the palette.

Conclusion: Yes, Canva does support SVG files. However, you will not be able to edit them in the editor as they are not one of the native file types supported.
