Does Figma Have a Color Picker?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:21 pm

Figma is a vector drawing tool that’s gained popularity in recent years for its user-friendly interface and robust set of features. One thing that Figma is missing, however, is a color picker. This can be a frustrating omission for designers who are used to having a color picker available in their vector editing software.

PRO TIP: Figma does not have a color picker. This means that you cannot select a color from an image or photo and use it in your design. If you need to use a specific color in your design, you will need to find another way to obtain that color, such as by using the color wheel or by creating a custom color palette.

There are workarounds that allow you to access a color picker in Figma, but they’re not particularly convenient. The best way to get around this issue is to use a separate color picker tool and then copy and paste the color code into Figma.

While it’s not ideal, this workaround will allow you to keep using Figma as your primary vector drawing tool while still being able to access a color picker when you need it.
