Does Figma Have Pathfinder?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:35 am

Pathfinder is a tool that allows designers to create complex shapes by combining multiple simpler shapes. It is commonly used in vector drawing applications like Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape and Affinity Designer.

Figma is a vector drawing application that also has some limited support for bitmap images. It does not currently have a Pathfinder tool.

PRO TIP: Figma does not have a built-in Pathfinder tool. However, there are a few ways to achieve similar results using other tools. For example, you can use the Boolean operations tool to combine shapes, or the Pen tool to create custom shapes.

That said, Figma does have some tools that can be used to create complex shapes. The Boolean operation tool can be used to combine multiple shapes into a single shape.

The Offset Path tool can be used to create outlines of shapes. And the Join tool can be used to create sharp corners between lines.

So while Figma doesn’t have an explicit Pathfinder tool, it does have some tools that can be used to achieve similar results.
