Does Photoshop Elements Have Liquify?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 11:58 am

Photoshop Elements does not have a Liquify filter. However, you can use the Puppet Warp tool to achieve a similar effect.

To use Puppet Warp, first make a selection of the area you want to distort. Then, click on the Puppet Warp tool in the Tools panel. You’ll see a grid of pins appear over your selection.

To add a pin, click on the area you want to anchor. To remove a pin, click on it and drag it outside of your selection.

PRO TIP: If you are using Photoshop Elements and are thinking about using the Liquify filter, be warned that it is not available in this program. While you can find workarounds online, it is not worth the effort as the results will not be as good as what you can get with the full Photoshop program.

To distort your selection, click and drag on one of the pins. You’ll see your selection warp according to where you moved the pin.

You can add as many pins as you want to achieve the desired effect.
