Does Photoshop Have Bleed?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:58 pm

It’s no secret that Photoshop is one of the most widely used photo editing software programs available today. But what many people don’t realize is that Photoshop also has a “bleed” feature.

So, what is bleed? Simply put, bleed is when you print an image or design and it extends beyond the edge of the paper. This is usually done to avoid having white borders around the edge of the design.

To create a bleed in Photoshop, you first need to create a new document. Then, add your image or design to the document. Once you have your image or design in place, go to “File” > “Print” and select the “Bleed” option.

PRO TIP: No, Photoshop does not have bleed. If you are using Photoshop to create a design that will be printed, you will need to add bleed in your design program.

Once you’ve selected the “Bleed” option, you’ll need to specify how much bleed you want to add. The amount of bleed you add will depend on the size of your document and the printer you’re using.

After you’ve specified the amount of bleed, click “OK” and then print your document.

So, does Photoshop have bleed? Yes, it does! And it’s a great way to avoid those pesky white borders around your designs.
