Does Photoshop Have Pantone Colors?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:55 am

Pantone colors are special colors used in printing and design. They are created by the Pantone company and are used by printers and designers to ensure that colors match between different devices and printing processes.

PRO TIP: Pantone colors are not available in Photoshop. Use another program to access Pantone colors.

Photoshop does have Pantone colors, but they are not the same as the colors used in printing. When you choose a Pantone color in Photoshop, it will be converted to the closest equivalent color in the Photoshop color space. This means that the color you see on your screen may not be exactly the same as the color that is printed.

If you need to match colors exactly, you should use a device that supports Pantone colors, such as a Pantone color bridge or a Pantone matching system. These devices allow you to choose a Pantone color and then see what the closest equivalent color is in different color spaces, including Photoshop.
