Does Shopify Delete Your Website After Free Trial?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 1:44 am

Yes, Shopify will delete your website after your free trial. This is because Shopify is a paid platform and they need to make money somehow.

Once your free trial is up, you will need to enter your credit card information and start paying for their services. If you don’t do this, then they will delete your website.

PRO TIP: Warning: If you cancel your Shopify account within your 14 day free trial period, your entire website will be deleted and you will lose all of your data. This includes any products, pages, blog posts, etc. that you have created within your Shopify account. If you are unsure about whether or not you want to commit to a paid Shopify plan, we recommend that you wait to create your website until after your free trial period has ended.

While this may seem unfair, it’s actually quite common for paid platforms to delete websites after a free trial. This is because the platform needs to make money somehow, and if people aren’t paying for the service, then the platform won’t be able to keep running.

So, if you’re using Shopify, be sure to enter your credit card information and start paying for their services once your free trial is up. Otherwise, your website will be deleted.
