Does Shopify Support Webhooks?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:12 pm

Shopify does support webhooks. Webhooks allow you to receive notifications whenever certain events happen on your shop, such as when an order is created or a product is updated. You can then use this information to take further action, such as sending an email to the customer or updating your inventory.

PRO TIP: Webhooks are not currently supported on Shopify. This may change in the future, but for now, if you are using webhooks, you will need to find another platform to use.

To set up a webhook, you first need to create a “script tag” in your Shopify admin. This will contain the URL of the webhook, as well as some other information such as the event that you want to be notified about. Once you’ve created the script tag, Shopify will send a HTTP POST request to the URL whenever the specified event occurs.

You can find more information about setting up webhooks in Shopify’s documentation.

Conclusion: Shopify does support webhooks. Webhooks allow you to receive notifications whenever certain events happen on your shop, such as when an order is created or a product is updated.
