Does Squarespace Do IDX?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 2:31 am

As a web-based platform, Squarespace does not currently offer integration with MLS data for real estate websites. However, there are a number of workarounds that allow you to display MLS listings on your Squarespace website.

PRO TIP: Squarespace does not offer built-in support for IDX (Internet Data Exchange) listing integration. There are a few workarounds, but they are not supported by Squarespace and may break at any time.

One workaround is to use a third-party service that provides IDX integration. These services typically have plugins or embed codes that you can add to your Squarespace website. Some popular third-party services that offer IDX integration include:

  • Optimized IDX
  • Diverse Solutions
  • iHomefinder

Another workaround is to use an iFrame. An iFrame is an HTML element that allows you to embed content from another website onto your own web page.

This is a common method for displaying content from third-party sources. To use an iFrame on your Squarespace website, you’ll need to add a code block to your page and insert the iFrame code. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do this:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Hover over the page where you want to add the iFrame and click the

symbol.

  • Click Code.
  • In the Code Block menu, select Inject Custom HTML.
  • Add your iFrame code in the box that appears and click Apply.
  • If you’re not comfortable working with code, we recommend working with a Squarespace Specialist who can help you add an iFrame to your website.

While Squarespace does not currently offer native IDX integration, there are a few workarounds that will allow you to display MLS listings on your website. By using a third-party service or adding an iFrame, you can easily add this functionality to your Squarespace site.
