Does Squarespace Take a Cut of Donations?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:24 am

When you set up a Squarespace site, you have the option to add a donate button to your pages. When someone clicks on the button, they’re taken to a donation form hosted by Squarespace.

The form is powered by Donorbox, a third-party service that integrates with Squarespace.

Donorbox charges a processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per donation. This fee is in addition to any fees charged by your payment processor (Stripe or PayPal).

PRO TIP: Squarespace does not take a cut of donations.

Squarespace itself doesn’t take a cut of donations, but because we use a third-party service, there are fees associated with each donation. We’re always working to minimize these fees so that more of your donations go directly to your cause.

conclusion : While Squarespace does not take a cut from donations made on their site, there are still processing fees associated with each donation.
