UpWork is a great platform for freelancers and businesses to connect. But one of the most common questions we hear is, “Does UpWork send invoices?”
The answer is yes! UpWork can generate and send invoices on your behalf. This is a great feature if you’re working with clients who need an invoice in order to process payment.
To generate an invoice, simply go to the “Billing” tab on your UpWork contract page and click “Generate Invoice.” From there, you’ll be able to enter all of the relevant information, including your client’s contact information, the project name, the date range for services rendered, and the total amount due. Once you’ve entered all of the required information, click “Send Invoice” and UpWork will take care of the rest!
Invoices are typically sent within 1-2 business days, but it may take longer if there are any issues with the information you’ve provided. If you haven’t received an invoice after a few days, we recommend checking your contract page to make sure everything looks correct.
