UX UI design and coding are not mutually exclusive. A well-done UX UI design can be coded, and vice versa. It depends on the project and the designer’s skill set. There are many instances when UX UI design and coding can work together harmoniously, such as when a designer creates a wireframe or prototype that is coded using a programming language.
In some cases, designers may create a prototype using a visual design tool, such as Adobe Photoshop or Sketch, and then code it using a programming language, such as HTML or CSS. In other cases, a designer may create a prototype using a visual design tool, such as Adobe Photoshop or Sketch, and then collaborate with a programmer to create a codebase, such as using Ruby on Rails or React. The most important factor is that the designer and programmer have a good working relationship and are able to communicate effectively.
