Does Wix Accept Venmo?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:38 am

Wix is a popular website builder that allows users to create custom websites without any coding required. While Wix does not natively accept Venmo payments, there are a few workarounds that can be used in order to accept Venmo payments on a Wix website.

The first workaround is to add a button to your Wix website that links to your Venmo profile. This can be done by adding HTML code to your Wix site.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

To do this, simply go to the “Add” menu and select “More”. Then, click on the “HTML Code” element and drag it onto your page. Paste the following code into the HTML Code box:

Pay with Venmo

Replace YOURUSERNAME with your actual Venmo username. This will add a button to your website that says “Pay with Venmo” and links to your Venmo profile. When a user clicks on this button, they will be taken to your Venmo profile where they can enter the amount they wish to pay and complete the payment.

PRO TIP: We would like to warn our users that we cannot guarantee that Wix will accept Venmo as a form of payment. We recommend that you check with Wix directly to see if they are currently accepting Venmo as a form of payment.

Another workaround is to use a third-party service that integrates with Wix and allows you to accept Venmo payments. One such service is PayPal. To set up PayPal on your Wix website, simply go to the “Add” menu and select “More”.

Then, click on the “PayPal Button” element and drag it onto your page. Enter your PayPal email address into the box that appears and select the button type and size that you want. Once you’ve done this, click on “Save & Publish” to save your changes and make the button live on your website.

When a user clicks on the PayPal button, they will be taken to a PayPal checkout page where they can enter the amount they wish to pay and complete the payment using their PayPal account or a credit/debit card. Once the payment is processed, the funds will be transferred into your PayPal account. From there, you can either transfer the funds into your bank account or keep them in your PayPal account to use for future payments.

While neither of these workarounds is ideal, they do allow you to accept Venmo payments on your Wix website if you are unable or unwilling to use another payment method.
