Does Wix Give You an SSL Certificate?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:14 am

Wix is a web development platform that allows users to create HTML5 websites and mobile sites through the use of their online drag and drop tools. Wix is free to use, but users can upgrade to a premium plan to get more features and storage space. One of the features that Wix offers is an SSL certificate. An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a website and encrypts information sent to the server. SSL certificates are used by millions of websites to protect online transactions and data transfer. Wix automatically generates an SSL certificate for your website when you upgrade to a premium plan.

The SSL certificate will be valid for one year and will be renewed automatically when you renew your premium plan. You can also purchase an SSL certificate from a third-party provider and install it on your Wix website. If you have an eCommerce store on your Wix website, you will need to purchase an SSL certificate in order to accept credit card payments. Wix does not offer any discounts on SSL certificates. You can find more information about Wix pricing here.
