Yes, Wix does support multiple languages.
Wix is a popular website builder that allows users to easily create professional-looking websites without any coding knowledge. One of the great features of Wix is its support for multiple languages. This means that you can create a website that can be easily translated into different languages, making it accessible to a wider audience.
Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.
To add multiple languages to your Wix website, you’ll first need to create a separate version of your website for each language you want to support. This can be done by using the Wix Language Switcher, which allows you to create separate pages for each language.
Once you have created separate pages for each language, you can then use the Wix Language Switcher to switch between languages on your website. This can be done either manually by the user, or automatically based on the user’s browser language settings.
Here are the steps to add multiple languages to your Wix website:
- Log in to your Wix account and go to the editor for your website.
- Click on the “Add” button in the top menu and select “Language Switcher” from the list of options.
- A new Language Switcher element will be added to your website. Click on the element to edit it.
- In the Language Switcher editor, click on the “Add a Language” button to add a new language to your website.
- Select the language you want to add from the list of options.
- Create a new page for the language you selected. You can do this by clicking on the “Add a Page” button in the top menu and selecting “Blank Page” from the list of options.
- Add the content for the new language page. You can use the Wix Translation Manager or the Wix AI Translation feature to translate your website’s text, menus, and other elements.
- Repeat steps 4-7 for each additional language you want to add to your website.
- When you’re finished adding languages, click the “Publish” button to make your website live. Your website will now be able to display in multiple languages, and users will be able to switch between languages using the Language Switcher element.
