Does Wix Work on Microsoft Edge?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:22 am

Microsoft Edge is a web browser developed by Microsoft. It was first released for Windows 10 and Xbox One in 2015, and then for Android and iOS in 2017. Edge is based on the Chromium open-source project, and it uses the Blink layout engine.

Microsoft Edge has been generally well-received. Its performance is good, and it includes some features that are not found in other browsers, such as a built-in note-taking tool and integration with Cortana, the digital assistant from Microsoft.

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: Microsoft Edge is a new web browser that is not yet fully compatible with Wix. We recommend using another web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox until Microsoft Edge becomes more compatible with Wix.

However, there are some drawbacks. One is that Edge does not support all the same extensions as Chrome, so if you use a lot of extensions, you may find yourself having to switch browsers. Another downside is that Microsoft has not been very good at keeping Edge up to date with the latest web standards.

So, does Wix work on Microsoft Edge? The short answer is yes, but there may be some issues.

Wix is a cloud-based website builder that uses HTML5, which is supported by Edge. However, Wix also uses some features that are not yet supported by Edge, such as the Wix Code feature. This means that some Wix features may not work properly on Microsoft Edge.
