There are quite a few ways that you can verify your identity on UpWork. You can do this by providing a government-issued ID, linking to a social media account, or providing a mobile phone number.
If you have a government-issued ID, you can upload a scanned copy or take a photo of it using your webcam. The ID must be valid and up-to-date, and it must show your name, photo, and date of birth. You can upload a passport, national ID card, or driver’s license.
If you don’t have a government-issued ID, you can link to your Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google+ account. To do this, go to the Profile section of your UpWork account and click on the “Linked Accounts” tab. Then, click on the “Link new account” button and follow the instructions.
Finally, you can verify your identity by providing a mobile phone number. To do this, go to the Profile section of your UpWork account and click on the “Phone Numbers” tab. Then, click on the “Add new number” button and follow the instructions.
