Adding a banner to your Squarespace page is a great way to add some personality and style to your site. There are a few different ways to do this, and the method you choose will depend on what kind of banner you want to add and how much control you want over the placement and sizing of the banner.

If you want to add a simple banner that spans the width of your page, you can do this by going to Design > Banner > + Add Banner. From here, you can upload your own image or choose one from our stock library. You can also adjust the size, position, and padding of your banner from this menu.

If you want more control over your banner, or if you want to add an animation or video banner, you’ll need to use code. The easiest way to do this is to use our Banner Block. This block allows you to add HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly into your banner without having to edit any code in your site’s template. PRO TIP: Adding a banner to your Squarespace page may result in the page appearing stretched or distorted.
