Adding a button to your Canva design is a great way to make your design interactive and engaging. There are two ways to add a button to your design: using the Button element in the Elements menu, or by adding a hyperlink to an image or shape.
To add a button using the Button element:
1. Select the Button element from the Elements menu.
2. Choose the style of button you want to add from the options provided.
3. Enter the text you want to display on the button, then click Apply.
4. Position and resize the button on your design, then click Done.
To add a hyperlink to an image or shape:
1. Select the image or shape you want to add a hyperlink to. In the top toolbar, click on the Link icon. Enter the URL you want to link to in the Link field, then click Apply. Position and resize the image or shape on your design, then click Done.

1. Make sure the button is the appropriate size for your design. Too small or too large buttons can be distracting and take away from your design.
2. Choose a color that compliments your design. You don’t want your button to stand out too much or be too difficult to see.
3. Use an appropriate call-to-action on your button. Your button should clearly state what action you want your viewers to take.
4. Place your button in a strategic location on your design. Make sure it’s easily visible and in a place where viewers are likely to see it and click on it.
The Button element is found in the Elements menu and there are many different styles of buttons that can be chosen from including drop-down, social media share, and download buttons (to name a few). Once you’ve selected the style of button you want, simply enter the text you want displayed on it before clicking “Apply” then “Done”. And that’s it! You’ve successfully added a button element to your design.
If you want more control over positioning and sizing of your button, adding a hyperlink to an image or shape is probably a better option for you. Adding hyperlinks can be done one of two ways: by selecting an entire object (image or shape), or by selecting only part of an object (such as text). If you select an entire object, simply click on “Link” in the top toolbar then enter in the URL before clicking “Apply” then “Done” once again.
