Adding a category filter in WooCommerce is simple and can be done in just a few minutes. First, open the WooCommerce settings page by clicking on the WooCommerce menu item in the main navigation bar and selecting the Settings button.
Next, click on the Product category settings link located in the WooCommerce settings page.
Now, on the Product category settings page, you will need to click on the Add new filter button located in the Category column.
Next, on the Category filter settings page, you will need to enter the name of the category you want to filter the products in. In the example below, we are filtering the products in the Pets category.
First, you need to make sure that your products are organized into categories. If you have not already done so, you can create categories by going to Products > Categories in the WordPress admin panel. Once you have created your product categories, you can then add them to your WooCommerce pages using the [product_categories] shortcode.
Next, you need to decide how you want your customers to filter your products. WooCommerce provides two options for category filters: by name or by attribute. If you choose to use the name filter, customers will be able to browse through your products alphabetically. If you choose to use the attribute filter, customers will be able to browse through your products based on their specific attributes (e.g., color, size, etc.).
Finally, you need to configure the WooCommerce settings for your category filters. To do this, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Catalog in the WordPress admin panel. In the Product Categories
Finally, you will need to select the products you want to filter the products in the Pets category by clicking on the Select products button.
Now, on the Category filter settings page, you will need to specify the criteria by which the products will be filtered. In the example below, we are filtering the products that are in the Dog breed category.
Now, on the Category filter settings page, you will need to specify the conditions by which the products will be filtered. In the example below, we are filtering the products that are in the Active category.
Finally, you will need to click on the Save button to save the changes to the category filter settings.
Now, when you browse the products in the Pets category, only products that are in the Dog breed category will be displayed.
