If you want to add a counter in WordPress, you first need to create a new custom post type. To do this, go to the Widgets area of your WordPress admin area and click on the Add New Widget button.
In the Widget Type drop-down list, select Custom Post Type and enter the name of your new counter type in the Name field.
Next, in the Widget Details area, you’ll need to provide some information about your counter. In the Title field, enter a title for your counter that will be displayed in the WordPress admin area.
In the Description field, provide a brief description of your counter.
In the Taxonomy field, select the post category that your counter should appear under. Finally, in the Display Field list, select the field that you want to use to display the counter value.
To create your counter, go to the WordPress admin area and click on the Posts tab. In the list of posts, select the post that you want to use as the source for your counter.
In the Content field, enter the value that you want to display as the counter value.
Click on the Publish button to save your new counter and make it available to use in your WordPress site.
Now that you’ve created your counter, you’ll need to add a link to it from the WordPress admin area.
In the Widget Type drop-down list, select Custom Post Type and enter the name of your new counter link in the Name field.
Next, in the Widget Details area, you’ll need to provide some information about your counter link. In the Title field, enter a title for your counter link that will be displayed in the WordPress admin area.
In the Description field, provide a brief description of your counter link.
In the URL field, enter the URL address of your counter link.
Click on the Publish button to save your new counter link and make it available to use in your WordPress site.
Now that you’ve added a counter and link to it in WordPress, you’re ready to use it in your blog posts. To do this, just add a counter declaration to your post like this:

And that’s all there is to it! Your counter will now be displayed in the WordPress admin area and willupdate automatically whenever the value of the specified field changes.
