Adding a Favicon to HostGator
If you want your website to appear in the HostGator search results pages, you’ll need to add a favicon to your website. A Favicon is a small icon that is displayed in the browser’s address bar when a user visits your website.
To add a favicon to your HostGator site, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your HostGator account.
2. Click on the “Manage Sites” link in the top left corner of the main HostGator page.
3. On the “Manage Sites” page, click on the “Site Information” link in the top right corner.
4. On the “Site Information” page, click on the “Favicon” tab.
5. In the “Favicon” tab, click on the “Upload a Favicon” button.
6. Click on the “Browse” button and select the favicon file that you want to use.
7. Click on the “Upload” button to upload the favicon file to your HostGator site.
8. Click on the “Close” button to return to the “Site Information” page.
9. Click on the “Update” button to update the favicon information for your HostGator site.
10. Click on the “Close” button to return to the “Manage Sites” page.
11. Click on the “Update” button to update the website information for your HostGator site.
12. Click on the “Update” button to update the website information for.
Adding a favicon is relatively easy, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure that the favicon you create is 16×16 pixels and saved as a .ico file. Then, upload the favicon to the root directory of your website. Finally, add the following code to thesection of your website’s HTML:
