Adding a hostname in DigitalOcean is easy. To do so, open the Droplet’s Settings page and click on the “Configure” button. This will open the Droplet’s configuration file in a text editor.

In the “Hostname” section, you will need to add the hostname you want to use. For example, if you want to use the hostname “example.com”, you would add the following line to the configuration file:.

PRO TIP: Adding a hostname in DigitalOcean is a two-step process. First, you need to add the hostname to your account, and then you need to add the DNS records for the hostname.

If you don’t add the DNS records for the hostname, your website will not be accessible.

“Hostname” : “example.com”

You can also use the hostname field to set a custom name for your Droplet. This will help you identify your Droplet when you are looking at your Droplet’s Overview page or when you are SSHing into it.

Finally, you need to save the configuration file and then restart the Droplet.
