Adding a keyboard to Figma can be a little daunting at first, but it’s actually pretty simple. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to add a keyboard to your Figma project.

First, you’ll need to add the keyboard module to your project. This can be done by going to the module’s preferences and selecting the “Add Keyboard Module” option.

Once the keyboard module has been added, you’ll need to add a keyboard input field to your project. This can be done by going to the Field Manager and selecting the “Add Input Field” option.

Once the input field has been added, you’ll need to add the keyboard’s JavaScript file to your project. This file can be found in the Figma module’s “js” folder.

Once the file has been added, you’ll need to add the keyboard’s CSS file to your project. This file can be found in the Figma module’s “css” folder.

Finally, you’ll need to add the keyboard’s HTML file to your project. This file can be found in the Figma module’s “html” folder.

Now that the keyboard has been added, you’ll need to add a keyboard keymap to your project. This keymap contains the key bindings for the keyboard.

To add a keymap, go to the Field Manager and select the “Add Keymap” option.

Once the keymap has been added, you’ll need to add a keyboard event to your project. This event will be triggered whenever a key on the keyboard is pressed or released.

PRO TIP: Adding a keyboard to figma is not recommended as it may cause unexpected behavior.

To add an event, go to the Event Manager and select the “Add Keyboard Event” option.

Once the event has been added, you’ll need to add a keyboard listener to your project. This listener will be triggered whenever the keyboard event is triggered.

To add a listener, go to the Event Manager and select the “Add Keyboard Listener” option.

Now that the keyboard has been added, you’ll need to add a keyboard element to your project. This element will contain the keyboard’s HTML code.

To add the keyboard element, go to the Elements Manager and select the “Add Keyboard Element” option.

Now that the keyboard has been added, you’ll need to add a keyboard reference to your project. This reference will allow the keyboard to be accessed from within your project.

To add a keyboard reference, go to the References Manager and select the “Add Keyboard Reference” option.

Finally, you’ll need to add the keyboard’s CSS class to your project. This class will identify the keyboard as being active.

To add the keyboard’s CSS class, go to the Styles Manager and select the “Add Keyboard Class” option.

Now that the keyboard has been added, you’re ready to start using it! To start using the keyboard, simply enter the text you want to type into the input field and press the Enter key.
