How Do I Add a Logout in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:57 pm

In WooCommerce, the logout process is simple. To log out, hover over your username in the top right corner of the page and click on the “Logout” link. Once you are logged out, you will be redirected to the WordPress login page where you can enter your username and password to log back in.

If you are having trouble logging out of WooCommerce, it could be because cookies are not enabled in your browser. Cookies must be enabled in order to log out of WooCommerce. To enable cookies, follow the instructions below:

For Google Chrome:

1. Click on the Chrome menu icon in the top right corner of the browser and select “Settings”. 2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Show advanced settings”. 3.

Under the “Privacy” section, click on the “Content settings” button. 4. Under the “Cookies” section, make sure that the “Allow local data to be set (recommended)” option is selected. 5. Click on the “Done” button to save your changes.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to add a logout in WooCommerce, it is important to first understand how the login and logout process works in WooCommerce. By default, when a user logs in to their account, they are redirected to the My Account page. From here, they can view their recent orders, address book, and account details. If a user clicks on the “Logout” link, they are redirected to the WordPress login page.

While this process works for most users, there are some cases where it can cause problems. For example, if a user is logged in to their WordPress account but not their WooCommerce account, they will be redirected to the WordPress login page when they try to logout. This can be confusing for users who are not familiar with the WooCommerce login process.

It is also important to note that if you add a logout link to your WooCommerce store, it will override the default WordPress logout link. This means that if a user is logged in to both their WordPress and WooCommerce accounts, they will be logged out of both accounts when they click on the logout link.

Before adding a logout link to your WooCommerce store, we recommend that you test it on a staging site

For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Click on the Firefox menu icon in the top right corner of the browser and select “Options”. In the Firefox Options window, select the “Privacy” tab.

3. Under the “History” section, make sure that the “Firefox will: Remember history” option is selected. Click on the “OK” button to save your changes.

For Microsoft Edge:
1. Click on the Edge menu icon in the top right corner of the browser and select “Settings”.

2. In Settings, click “View advanced settings”. 3 .Under “Cookies”, choose whether to block or allow cookies, and then click “Save”.

After you have enabled cookies in your browser, try logging out of WooCommerce again and you should be able to do so without any problems
