How Do I Add a Table of Contents in Squarespace?

There are two types of tables of contents you can add to your Squarespace website: a page-specific table of contents, or a site-wide table of contents. A page-specific table of contents appears on a single page, and lists the sections and subsections on that page.

A site-wide table of contents appears on every page of your website, and lists the pages in your navigation. You can add a table of contents to any page on your Squarespace website, but we recommend adding them to long pages with multiple sections, like your About or Services page.

  2. Click the “+” icon, then click “Layout.”

Your table of contents will now appear on the page. You can click “Edit” to customize the title, style, and behavior of your table of contents.
