When it comes to eCommerce platforms, WooCommerce is one of the most popular choices for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Setting up a WooCommerce store is relatively easy and straightforward.

However, if you want to add a custom template to your store, things can get a little bit more complicated. In this article, we will show you how to add a template to WooCommerce in four easy steps.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to add a template to WooCommerce, be aware that this process can be complex and may require some coding knowledge. Also, be sure to back up your site before making any changes.

Before we get started, you will need to have a custom WooCommerce template that you want to use for your store. You can either create one yourself or purchase one from a third-party website.

Step 1: Upload the Template File to Your WordPress Site

The first thing you need to do is upload the template file to your WordPress site. You can do this by logging into your WordPress dashboard and going to the “Appearance” -> “Editor” page. On this page, you need to select the “Theme Functions” file from the right-hand side column and then click on the “Edit” button.

Step 2: Add the Code to Change the Default Template

Once you have opened the “Theme Functions” file in the editor, you need to scroll down to the very bottom of the file and add the following code:

Step 3: Save the Changes and Upload the File to Your Server

Once you have added the code, you need to save your changes and upload the file to your server. You can do this by going to the “Appearance” -> “Editor” page and clicking on the “Update File” button.

Step 4: Test Your New Template

The last thing you need to do is test your new template.

To do this, simply go to the page on your website that you added the code to in Step 2 and check if everything is working as it should. If everything is working fine, then congratulations! You have successfully added a custom template to your WooCommerce store.
