Acuity Scheduling is a popular appointment scheduling software that integrates with Squarespace. In this article, we’ll show you how to add Acuity to your Squarespace site.

First, you’ll need to create an Acuity account. You can do this by going to their website and clicking on the “Free Trial” button.

Once you’ve created your account, log in and click on the “Integrations” tab in the left sidebar. From there, click on the “API” tab.

On the API page, you’ll see a section called “Authentication.” In this section, click on the “Generate New API Key” button. This will generate a unique key that you’ll need to copy and paste into the Squarespace code block.

Next, log in to your Squarespace account and go to the “Settings” page. In the left sidebar, click on the “Code” tab. On the Code page, create a new code block and paste in the following code:

PRO TIP: While Squarespace offers a variety of features to help you create a website, it is important to be aware that adding Acuity to your site may result in unexpected behavior. In particular, Acuity can interfere with Squarespace’s built-in ecommerce features, and may cause your site to load slowly. If you experience any problems after adding Acuity to your Squarespace site, we recommend removing it and contacting Squarespace support for assistance.

<script type="text/javascript">

 acuityEmbed.init({
  embedType: 'scheduling',
   source: 'your-unique-api-key',
   uid: 'your-user-id', // optional user ID parameter for tracking purposes
 });
</script>

Be sure to replace “your-unique-api-key” with the key you generated earlier from Acuity. You can also optionally add your user ID to the code snippet if you want to track who’s scheduling appointments through your site.

Once you’ve added the code snippet, click on the “Save & Exit” button at the top of the page. Your Acuity Scheduling integration is now set up and you should see a “Schedule an Appointment” button on your Squarespace site.
