If you have an existing domain that you want to use with Shopify, there are a few steps that you need to take in order to set it up. First, you need to log in to your Shopify admin and go to Online Store > Domains.
From there, click on the Add existing domain button.
In the Domain name field, enter the domain that you want to use with Shopify. Then, in the SSL certificate drop-down menu, select the option for Shopify managed.
Finally, click on the Add domain button.
Once you’ve added your domain to Shopify, you can start using it right away. You can set it as your primary domain or redirect it to another site.

First, if you are using a subdomain (like shop.example.com), any DNS changes you make will affect your entire website, not just your Shopify store. This could cause major problems if you’re not careful.
Second, there is a chance that your existing domain may not work with Shopify. If this happens, you may need to either switch to a new domain or use a different platform for your online store.
Finally, be sure to read all the fine print before making any changes to your domain settings. Otherwise, you could end up inadvertently giving someone else control of your domain or losing access to it entirely.
Proceed with caution when adding an existing domain to Shopify, and be sure to consult with an expert if you’re unsure about anything.
