Adding custom options to your Shopify products is a great way to give your customers more control over what they’re buying, and can also help you upsell and cross-sell related products. There are a few different ways to add custom options to your products, which we’ll go over in this article.
One way to add custom options to your products is to use Shopify’s built-in product customization tools. These tools let you add text fields, select boxes, and radio buttons to your products, which your customers can use to select the options they want.
To use Shopify’s product customization tools, first go to the Edit product page for the product you want to add custom options to. Under the Variants section, click the Add variant button.
On the Add variant popup, enter the variant’s Option1 value (this is the name of the first option you’re adding, such as “Size” or “Color”). Then, enter the variant’s Option2 value (this is the name of the second option you’re adding, such as “Material” or “Finish”).
Next, under the Inventory section, enter the variant’s SKU, Barcode, and Price. If you want, you can also enter a Compare at price. This is the price that the variant would normally be sold at, without any customizations.
- Click Save
- Repeat these steps for each custom option you want to add
- Note : You can add up to 3 custom options per product.
