Last updated on November 27, 2022 @ 6:05 pm

Adding illustrations to your Figma project is quick and easy. With the vector tools, you can create any type of illustration you need, from simple shapes to complex graphics. You can also add images from your computer or from a URL.

To add an illustration:

    1. Select the Vector tool or the Pen tool in the toolbar.

    2. Click anywhere on the canvas to create a vector shape or draw a path.

    3. To add an image, click the Image tool in the toolbar, then click anywhere on the canvas to select an image from your computer or paste in a URL.

    4. To style your text, select the Text tool in the toolbar and click anywhere on the canvas to add text. You can use the < p >, < b >, and < u > tags to style your text.

    5. To save your work, click File > Save in the top menu bar.

PRO TIP: Some users have reported issues with adding illustrations in Figma – specifically, they have found that their illustrations do not always appear correctly when they are added to a project. If you are planning on adding illustrations to a Figma project, we recommend that you save them in a format that is compatible with the software (PNG or JPG), and that you check the appearance of your illustrations before adding them to your project.
