Adding music to your Shopify store is a great way to set the tone for your brand and create a more engaging shopping experience for your customers. There are a few different ways you can add music to your store, and we’ll walk you through each one.
One way to add music to your store is by using an HTML5 audio player. This method is great if you have a small number of tracks that you want to make available to your customers.
To add an HTML5 audio player to your store, you’ll first need to upload your music files to Shopify. You can do this by going to Settings > Files in your Shopify admin. Once your files are uploaded, you can then add the following code to your theme’s HTML code:
<audio controls>
<source src="your-track-url.mp3" type="audio/mpeg">
Your browser does not support the audio element.
</audio>
You can also add music to your store using a third-party app from the Shopify App Store. There are a number of apps available that will let you play music from popular streaming services like Spotify and Pandora, or from your own personal library. Some of our favorite apps include:
• SoundShop – This app lets you sell tracks and albums directly from your Shopify store. Customers can preview tracks before they purchase, and all purchases are integrated with Shopify’s checkout process. SoundShop also offers a number of other features like custom playlists and automatic album artwork.
• Music Player for Shopify – This app lets you play music from popular streaming services like Spotify, Pandora, and SoundCloud. You can also upload your own tracks and create custom playlists. The Music Player for Shopify app is free to use, but there is a paid version that offers additional features like password protection for your playlists and the ability to sell tracks and albums directly from your store.
• ShopTunes – This app lets you upload MP3 files directly to your Shopify store and play them on demand. You can also create custom playlists and add album artwork. One unique feature of ShopTunes is the ability to password protect individual tracks, so customers can only preview them before they purchase.
Adding music to your Shopify store is a great way to set the tone for your brand and create a more engaging shopping experience for customers. By using an HTML5 audio player or a third-party app, you can easily add music to your store without any hassle.
