Social media share buttons are a great way to promote your content and get more people to see what you have to say. But how do you add them to your Squarespace site?
The first thing you need to do is install the AddThis Share Buttons plugin. This can be done by going to the AddThis website and clicking on the “Get Share Buttons” button. Once you have installed the plugin, you will need to activate it.
Once the plugin is activated, you will need to go to the settings page and configure it. The first thing you will need to do is choose which social networks you want to include share buttons for. You can also choose whether or not you want to include a share button for email.
Once you have configured the plugin, you will need to add the social share buttons to your Squarespace site. To do this, you will need to edit the code of your site. You can do this by going to the “Code” tab in your Squarespace settings and adding the following code:
<div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style">
<a class="addthis_button_preferred_1"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_preferred_2"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_preferred_3"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_preferred_4"></a>
<a class="addthis_button_compact"></a>
<a class="addthis_counter addthis_bubble_style"></a>
</div>
You will need to replace the “1”, “2”, “3”, and “4” with the numbers of the social networks that you want to include share buttons for. For example, if you only wanted to include share buttons for Facebook and Twitter, you would use the following code:
<div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style">"
<"a class="addthis_button Facebook"fref="/profile.php?id=100001376486293">Facebook Like Buttoni
