Adding SPF records to Namecheap is fairly straightforward. To begin, navigate to your Namecheap account > Settings > General > DNS settings. Under the “DNS” tab, scroll down to the “SPF” section. Here, you’ll need to input the relevant details for your domain.
You can find these details by querying your Namecheap DNS records. For example, if your domain is example.com, you would query your records like so:.
dig example.com
;; global options: +cmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 6127 ;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 0, ADDITIONAL: 1 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;example.com. IN A ;; ANSWER SECTION: example. 2607:f8b0:4001:8::1. In the output of this query, you'll see the relevant A, MX, NS, and SOA records for example. The "SPF" section for this domain would look like this: [text-protip]If you are planning to add SPF records to your Namecheap account, please be aware that this process is not reversible. Once you add the SPF records to your account, you will not be able to remove them without contacting Namecheap support.[/text-protip] example. IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx ip4:192.168.1.100 ip4:192. 168.101 ip4:192.102". Simply enter this information into the "SPF" section of your Namecheap account, and you're good to go. You can also add an SPF record for your domain using the Namecheap DNS Manager. To do so, first make sure that your Namecheap account is configured to use the DNS Manager. Then, navigate to your Namecheap account > DNS Manager.
Under the “DNS” tab, click on the “Add Record” button. Enter the details for your SPF record, and hit the “Add Record” button.
