Adding video to your WooCommerce product page is a great way to showcase your products in action and give customers a better understanding of what they’re buying. There are a few different ways to add video to your product page, and we’ll walk you through each one so you can choose the best method for your store.
Option 1: Add video using the WooCommerce built-in video feature
WooCommerce comes with a built-in video feature that allows you to easily add videos to your product pages. To use this feature, simply go to the ‘Products’ page in your WordPress dashboard and edit the product you want to add a video to. On the ‘Edit Product’ page, scroll down to the ‘Product Data’ section and click on the ‘Video’ tab. Here you can upload your video or enter the URL of a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.
Once you’ve added your video, don’t forget to click the ‘Update’ button to save your changes.
Option 2: Add video using a WordPress plugin
If you don’t want to use the WooCommerce built-in video feature, there are plenty of WordPress plugins that allow you to add video to your product pages. One of our favourites is the WooCommerce Video plugin. This plugin allows you to upload videos directly from your computer or enter the URL of a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. You can also choose whether or not to display the video on the product page, and whether or not to auto-play the video when it’s loaded.
Option 3: Add video using an embed code
If you’re comfortable working with HTML, you can also add video to your product pages using an embed code. Simply get the embed code for your video from YouTube or Vimeo and then paste it into the ‘Description’ field on the ‘Edit Product’ page in your WordPress dashboard. If you want the video to appear on the product page, make sure you check the ‘Visual’ tab before saving your changes.
Conclusion
There are many different ways that you can add videos onto your WooCommerce product pages in order for customers to have a better understanding of what they are buying. The three main ways are by using either the WooCommerce built-in feature, through adding a WordPress plugin, or by using an HTML embed code.
