There are two types of line spacing in Photoshop: leading and paragraph spacing. Leading is the space between the lines of your text, while paragraph spacing is the space between paragraphs.
You can adjust both types of line spacing using the Character panel or the Paragraph panel.
To adjust leading using the Character panel:
- Open the Character panel by going to Window > Character.
- In the “Leading” field, type in the amount of space you want between your lines of text.
- Press Enter (Windows) or Return (macOS) to apply your changes.
PRO TIP: This article is about how to change the line spacing in Photoshop, not how to adjust it. Line spacing is the space between the lines of text in a paragraph. You can change the line spacing in Photoshop by going to the ‘Paragraph’ panel and changing the ‘Leading’ value.
To adjust paragraph spacing using the Paragraph panel:
- Open the Paragraph panel by going to Window > Paragraph.
- In the “Before” field, type in the amount of space you want before your paragraphs.
- In the “After” field, type in the amount of space you want after your paragraphs.
