How Do I Align in Canva?

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, it is easy to accidentally misalign objects in Canva. If you are not happy with the alignment of your objects, you can always use the alignment tools to fix it. However, if you do not know how to use the alignment tools, you may end up with a messy design.

One of the most popular questions we get asked here at Canva is “How do I align my text?”. There are a few different ways you can align text in Canva, which we’ll go through in this article.

The first way you can align text is by using the text alignment buttons in the toolbar. To do this, simply select the text you want to align and then click on one of the alignment buttons. The options are left-align, center-align, right-align, and justify.

The second way you can align text is by using the alignment options in the Text Properties menu. To access this menu, simply double-click on the text you want to align or click on the “T” icon in the toolbar. Then, in the Text Properties menu, select the alignment option you want from the drop-down menu next to “Alignment”.

The third way you can align text is by using the alignment options in the Format Menu. To access this menu, click on the “Format” tab at the top of the Canva editor. Then, in the Format Menu, select the alignment option you want from the drop-down menu next to “Text alignment”.

The fourth and final way you can align text is by using HTML code. To do this, simply add either the “align=left”, “align=center”, “align=right”, or “align=justify” attribute to the opening tag of your text.
