It’s easy to anchor a link in Squarespace. You can do it in two ways:
Method 1: In the editor, select the text you want to link, then click the link icon in the toolbar. Enter the URL you want to link to in the Link URL field.
Then, click the gear icon next to the Link URL field and check the box next to “Open in new window.” Finally, click Apply.
Method 2: In the editor, select the text you want to link, then click the link icon in the toolbar.
Then, click the gear icon next to the Link URL field and select “Open in new window” from the dropdown menu. Finally, click Apply.
That’s all there is to it! Now when your visitors click on the linked text, they’ll be taken to the specified URL in a new window.
PRO TIP: If you are not careful, anchoring a link in Squarespace can result in lost data or worse. Be sure to back up your work before proceeding.
