How Do I Blend One Image Into Another in Photoshop?

There are a few different ways that you can go about blending one image into another in Photoshop. One way is to use the Eraser tool.

With the Eraser tool selected, simply erase away parts of the top image that you want to reveal the bottom image beneath. You can also use the Brush tool to paint over the top image with a black or white brush. If you brush over with a black brush, you will be revealing the bottom image underneath, while painting with a white brush will cover up the bottom image.

Another way to blend images together is to use layer masks. To do this, first make sure both images are on separate layers. Then, select the top layer and click on the Add Layer Mask button at the bottom of the Layers panel.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when blending images in Photoshop, you can end up with an unnatural looking image. Be sure to use a low opacity setting and a soft brush when blending, and be careful not to overdo it.

A white layer mask will be added to the top layer. Next, use a black brush to paint over the areas of the top image that you want to reveal the bottom image beneath. As you paint, you will see the top image disappearing where you are painting, revealing the bottom image underneath.

You can also use Photoshop’s built-in blending modes to blend images together. To do this, select the top layer in the Layers panel and then choose a blending mode from the drop-down menu at the top of the Layers panel. Each blending mode will produce a different effect, so experiment with each one until you find one that you like.

One last way to blend two images together is to use a transparency mask. Next, use a black brush to paint over areas of the top image that you want to make transparent. As you paint, you will see those areas becoming transparent and revealing whatever is underneath them on the layer below.

So there are a few different ways that you can go about blending two images together in Photoshop. Experiment with each of these methods until you find one that works best for your particular project.
