Product descriptions are important for any ecommerce website. They help potential customers learn more about your products and make a decision about whether or not to purchase them.
However, creating unique, well-written product descriptions can be time-consuming.
Fortunately, there is a way to bulk edit product descriptions in Shopify. By using the Bulk Editor tool, you can make changes to multiple product descriptions at once. This can save you a lot of time and effort when compared to editing each description individually.
PRO TIP: Bulk editing product descriptions in Shopify can be risky if you are not careful. If you make a mistake, you could easily end up with a lot of incorrect or duplicated data.
To bulk edit your product descriptions:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Products
- Select Bulk actions, then click Edit products
- In the Edit products window, select the Product description field
- (Optional): Use the drop-down menu to filter the products that you want to edit by product type or vendor
- (Optional): Select the checkbox next to each product that you want to include in your bulk edit
- (Optional): To exclude certain products from your bulk edit, select the checkbox next to each product that you want to exclude
- (Optional): To clear all of the selections that you’ve made, click Clear selection
Note: If you don’t select any products, then all of the products in your shop will be updated.
