How Do I Change Currency on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:37 am

There are a few different ways that you can change the currency on Wix. You can either do it through the settings tab, or you can go into the code and make the changes manually.

To change the currency through the settings tab, first, go to your Wix account dashboard. From there, click on the ‘Site’ tab, and then select ‘Settings.’ Once you’re in the Settings tab, scroll down to the ‘Currency’ section and select the currency you want from the drop-down menu. Save your changes and you’re all set!

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to change the currency on your Wix account, please be aware that this may cause some problems with your existing content. Specifically, any prices that are displayed on your website will likely be incorrect after the currency change. We recommend that you take a backup of your site before changing the currency, so that you can easily revert back if necessary.

If you want to make the changes manually, you’ll need to access your site’s code. To do this, go to your Wix account dashboard and click on the ‘Site’ tab.

From there, select ‘Edit Site.’ This will bring up a page with your site’s code on it. In the code, look for the ‘currency’ tag. You’ll see that it has a three-letter code next to it – this is your site’s current currency. To change it, simply replace that three-letter code with the new currency code that you want. For example, if you want to change from USD to CAD, you would replace ‘USD’ with ‘CAD’. Once you’ve made your changes, save them and you’re all set!

Conclusion:

Changing the currency on Wix is a simple process that can be done either through the settings tab or by editing your site’s code directly. Whichever method you choose, be sure to save your changes before exiting so that they will take effect.
