PRO TIP: If you are changing your DNS on HostGator, be sure to first back up your current DNS settings. This can be done by logging into your HostGator account and going to the “Domains” tab. From there, click on the “Zone Editor” link. On the next page, click on the “Export” button to download a backup of your current DNS settings.

Next, you will need to edit your DNS settings. To do this, log into your HostGator account and go to the “Domains” tab. From there, click on the “Zone Editor” link. On the next page, find the DNS record that you want to change and click on the “Edit” button next to it.

Make the necessary changes to your DNS settings and then click on the “Save Changes” button. Once your changes have been saved, they will take effect immediately. However, it may take up to 48 hours for your new DNS settings to propagate across the internet.
