If you’re using Wix to build your website, you may be wondering how to change your domain name. Luckily, it’s a fairly simple process. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps of changing your domain name on Wix.
First, log in to your Wix account and go to the My Sites page. From there, click on the site that you want to change the domain name for. Next, click on the Domain tab in the left-hand sidebar.

On the Domain tab, you’ll see a section labeled “Connect a New Domain.” Click on the button that says “Get Started.”
Enter your new domain name in the popup window and click on Continue. Wix will search to see if your domain is available. If it is, you’ll be able to continue with the process of connecting it to your Wix site.
If you already have a domain name that you want to use with Wix, you can select the “I Have a Domain Name” option. Enter your domain name in the field and click on Continue.
Wix will give you two options for connecting your domain – either using DNS settings or by pointing an existing website. If you’re not sure which option to choose, we recommend using DNS settings. Click on Continue.
On the next page, Wix will provide you with DNS records that need to be added to your domain’s DNS settings. These records will allow Wix to connect your domain to your website. Log in to your domain registrar’s account and add these DNS records.
Once you’ve added the DNS records, click on Verify Now in the Wix popup window. This will confirm that the records have been added correctly and that your domain is now connected to your Wix site.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully changed your domain name on Wix.
