If you’re an experienced freelancer on UpWork, charging a fixed price is often the best option. This pricing model allows you to bid on projects with confidence, knowing that you’ll receive the agreed-upon amount for the work, regardless of how long it takes.
First, think about whether or not you are comfortable with the idea of a set price for your work. If you are not comfortable with this, then a fixed rate may not be the best option for you. Second, consider whether or not you are able to commit to a set number of hours per week or project. If you are not able to commit to this, then a variable hourly rate may be a better option.
Third, take into account the nature of the work you will be doing. If the work is very straightforward and does not require a lot of creative thinking, then a fixed rate may be appropriate. To change your hourly rate to a fixed price:
1. Log in to your UpWork account and click the Settings icon at the top of the page. 2. Click Billing & Payment under Your Profile in the left sidebar.
3. Scroll down to the Rate (USD/hr) section and click Change to Fixed Price. 4. Enter your desired fixed price in the text field and click Save Changes.
