Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:36 am

If you’re using Wix as your website builder and domain registrar, you can change your nameservers easily. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

1. Log into your Wix account.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

The first thing you need to do is log into your Wix account. If you don’t have a Wix account yet, you can create one for free at www.wix.com.

2. Go to the Domains tab.

Once you’re logged in, click on the “Domains” tab in the left-hand sidebar. This will take you to the page where all of your domains are listed.

3. Select the domain you want to change.

Click on the domain name that you want to change the nameservers for. This will open up a panel with more information about that domain.

4. Click on the Manage DNS button.

In the middle of the panel, you’ll see a button that says “Manage DNS.” Click on this button.

5. Change the nameservers.

On the next page, there will be a section labeled “Nameservers.” You can either select one of Wix’s default nameservers, or you can enter custom nameservers.

To enter custom nameservers, simply click on the “Custom” radio button and then enter your desired nameservers in the text boxes below. Once you’re done, click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: If you are considering changing your nameservers on Wix, be aware that this will impact your website’s DNS records. This could cause your website to become inaccessible, so be sure to backup your DNS records before making any changes.
