How Do I Change Ownership of a Figma?

There are a few different ways that you can change ownership of a Figma file. The first way is to simply ask the current owner to transfer ownership to you. This can be done by going to the File > Transfer Ownership menu item and then selecting the new owner from the list of collaborators on the file.

The second way to change ownership of a Figma file is to make a copy of the file and then delete the original file. The copy of the file will then be owned by you.

To do this, go to the File > Make a Copy menu item and then select where you would like to save the copy of the file. Once the copy has been made, you can delete the original file by going to the File > Delete menu item.

The third way to change ownership of a Figma file is to export the file as an .fhx file and then import it into a new Figma account that you own. To do this, go to the File > Export as .fhx menu item and then select where you would like to save the exported file. Once the file has been exported, you can import it into your own Figma account by going to the File > Import .fhx menu item.

The fourth and final way to change ownership of a Figma file is to simply ask the current owner to delete the file. This will permanently delete the file from Figma, so make sure that you have saved a copy of the file before doing this! To do this, go to the File > Delete menu item and then confirm that you want to delete the file.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on changing the ownership of a Figma file, be sure to do so with caution. Make sure that you know exactly who will be taking over the file and that they are someone you trust. There have been cases of people changing the ownership of Figma files and then losing access to them, so be sure to take precautions.
