How do I change PHP version in cPanel Namecheap?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:47 pm

PHP is a widely used scripting language that enables web developers to create dynamic, interactive websites. Namecheap offers several PHP versions, which can be changed in cPanel. To change PHP version in cPanel, follow these steps:

Log in to cPanel. Click on the Account menu and select Manage Sites. Click on the name of the website and click on the Properties tab.

PRO TIP: If you are not comfortable working with code or making changes to your hosting account, we recommend that you reach out to your hosting provider’s support team for assistance. Making changes to your PHP version can break your website if not done correctly, so it’s important to be sure that you know what you are doing or have someone who can help you if needed.

In the PHP version section, click on the version number you would like to use. Click on Save Changes.

If you have any questions about changing PHP version in cPanel, please contact our customer support team.
