How Do I Change the Caption Overlay in Squarespace?

In Squarespace, you can change the caption overlay in a few different ways. First, you can go to the Design tab and click on the “Site Title & Logo” section. Here, you can upload a new logo or change the text that appears in the caption overlay.

PRO TIP: The article “How Do I Change the Caption Overlay in Squarespace?” is outdated and no longer accurate. The instructions in the article will not work with the current version of Squarespace.

If you want to change the font, size, or color of the text in the caption overlay, you can do so by going to the Design tab and clicking on the “Typography” section. Here, you can make changes to the “Site Title” and “Site Tagline” fonts.

Finally, if you want to change the background color of the caption overlay, you can do so by going to the Design tab and clicking on the “Colors” section. Here, you can change the “Site Title Background Color” and/or the “Site Tagline Background Color”.
