How Do I Change the Footer in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:59 am

There are two ways to change the footer in Squarespace. The first way is to use theFooter Code Injection box in the Design tab of the Site Manager.

This allows you to add HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code directly to your site’s footer. The second way is to use a third-party footer plugin.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with HTML or CSS, we recommend that you avoid making changes to the code in your Squarespace account. Making changes to code can result in broken pages, and may require our support team to assist you in resolving the issue.

If you want to make changes to your footer using code, we recommend using the Footer Code Injection box in the Design tab of the Site Manager. This allows you to add HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code directly to your site’s footer. To learn more about code injection, please visit our Help Center.

If you want to use a third-party footer plugin, we recommend contacting the plugin’s developer for assistance. Many plugins are not compatible with Squarespace, and we cannot guarantee that they will work on your site.
