How Do I Change the Navigation Account in WooCommerce?

If you’re using WooCommerce to sell products on your WordPress website, then you’re probably aware that the default account page is not the most user-friendly. The good news is that it’s easy to change the navigation account in WooCommerce, and in this article, we’ll show you how.

By default, when a customer goes to their account page, they will see the following tabs:

  • Dashboard
  • Orders
  • Downloads
  • Addresses
  • Account Details
  • Logout

Changing the Navigation Tabs in WooCommerce

The first thing you need to do is install and activate the WooCommerce Custom Account Pages plugin. For more information, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Upon activation, you need to visit WooCommerce » Settings. On the Settings page, click on the “Accounts”.

Adding New Account Navigation Tabs in WooCommerce

You can add as many tabs as you want by clicking on the “Add New Tab”. For each tab, you need to provide a “Tab Name.” This is what users will see on the front end. Underneath that, you will see a text editor where you can add content for that tab. Once you are done adding content, click on the “Save changes” button to store your changes. You can now visit your account page to see all the new tabs that you added. You can now visit your account page to see all the new tabs that you added.

Reordering or Renaming Default WooCommerce Account Navigation Tabs

If you want to rename or reorder any of the default tabs provided by WooCommerce then simply hover over that tab and use the up and down arrow icons to reorder them.

Changing The Endpoints for each Tab in WooCommerce

By default, when you add a new tab it uses “/myaccount/” as its endpoint.

However, if you want to change this then simply click on the “Edit” link next to any tab and then change the endpoint under “Tab Endpoint”. Once you’re done don’t forget to click on the “Save changes” button.

Changing The Position of Navigation Tabs in WooCommerce

By default, all tabs are displayed horizontally at the top of the account page.
If you want to change this then head over to WooCommerce » Settings » Accounts and then scroll down to the “Account Menu Position” option.

Here you can select one of three options:

  • Horizontal–Tabs are displayed horizontally at the top of the account page.

Logged–In Out–Tabs are displayed vertically for logged – in users while guests will see them horizontally at the top of My Account page. Both–Tabs are displayed vertically for both logged–in users and guests. Once done, don’t forget to click on Save changes button.
